The Opera Garnier, situated close to the Hotels Du Pré, is participating in the Tous à l'Opéra (All at the Opera) event, which will be happening everywhere in France during the first weekend of May. This world-famous opera house opens its doors for free tours behind the scenes, allowing visitors a fascinating insight into the various professions involved.

The 12th edition of Tous à l'Opéra will take place from Friday, May 4th to Sunday, May 6th, 2018 in 24 venues throughout France as well as at the Opera Garnier. Come along and enjoy free access to rehearsals, discover costume and make-up workshops, take a look behind the scenes and listen to concerts. It’s a wonderful idea for bringing opera to a wider public.
Explore the secret world of the Opéra Garnier
The Opera Garnier invites you to attend a ballet dance class on Saturday, May 5th from 11:30 to 13:00. True to the spirit of the event, the Palais Garnier aims to attract visitors, whether opera buffs or simply curious, to enjoy guided tours or thematic events based around the operatic professions. You’ll discover the secrets of technicians, makeup artists and costume designers. From the roofs of the building, which command a superb view of the whole neighbourhood, to the stage, by way of the sumptuous staircase, the world of the Opéra Garnier will be laid open to you.
